Bioinformatics Core

The Maine INBRE Bioinformatics Core facilitates data management and analysis for comparative functional genomics research by providing:

• Sequence Analysis Software
• Access to biological databases
• Biomedical journals
• Capabilities for data storage
• Training opportunities

The Core also supports communication networks for INBRE institutions to facilitate multi-center research and resource sharing and the confidential exchange of data. 

Core staff are active in NENI, a regional effort to improve access to upgraded networking capabilities among the Northeast Regional IDeA States – Delaware, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont.
